We took a week to speeddate Norway and managed to drive after the sun nicely in this unsteady weather land!
How to get there
When to go
July is the best month for paragliding. Still, prepare for rainy weather
Preparation
Car Hire a car
Money (EUR & credit card) The region is very expensive. But you need zero cash. Honestly. It's all via credit cards, even the smallest toilet in the middle of Norway accepts it.
Contact
Where to stay
Rent a car in Oslo, bring a tent. Sleeping outdoors works nicely. From the warm Fyords up to snow covered mountains you can be within minutes.
General considerations
It's very expensive
People
Generally friendly!
Food
We had some good food but none particularly memorable.
Climate
European, however we found that the cloudbase is usually somewhat close to the very flat upper mountain highland.

Paragliding
Find a club near where you want to go: https://no.flightlog.org/fl.html?l=1&a=25&country_id=160
Start in Vaga or Voss where you can simply go to the landing area and meet people. Other clubs should be contacted via facebook which still seems to prevail as social media center in Norway.
Locals log all their flights in one central database: No https://no.flightlog.org/?l=1
So it's a great resource to find great takeoffs depending on the wind direction. https://no.flightlog.org/fl.html?l=1&a=21&country_id=160

Conclusion
Pretty nice flying but the weather can be very tricky. Be ready for anything. Bring enough time. Prepare for driving long distances.
