La Réunion

La Réunion

We visited la Réunion for 3 extensive weeks and enjoyed diving, hiking and paragliding on this island. Here is a little kickstart for you: How to get there The cheapest options from Switzerland we found through swoodoo. It turned out to be a TGV from Zurich to Paris, enjoying the city a bit and then flying from Paris to St.Denis. Preparation Rent a car (alamo) The island with its 800'000 inhabitants is pretty large and the streets are built as serpentines.

Fiji

Fiji

The end of my first day was the best thing on my first day. It was quite a challenge to get to the hostel but what last long will finally be good. The trip to Fiji was a necessary lecture for my further travelling. First lecture of the day: you should always write your destination address on the immigration document. ALWAYS! Normally I do it even if I have to invent something like Beijing in but this time I guess I was just to lazy to search for a Hostelname and Nadi in sounded somehow stupid so I left the slot at the immigration form blank.

New Zealand

Mountains and just a stone’s throw away beautiful beaches and the waters of the Pacific. One of the strongest arguments for me to choose New Zealand as next destination. Peru

Peru

How love made me skip Ecuador Prologue Ye olde friends, families and forgetting ones, I’m still alive and celebrating this by a brand new, shiny blog entry. It’s 10am, I am sweating inside a 2x1x1m^3 mosquito tent or as my better half calls it “My mosquito bunker” somewhere deep, deep in the jungle. My girl is on a trip discovering medical trees and plants (yeah, right) while I try to let my body recover from the last days enemy attack waves resulting in way above 100 mosquito bites.

Hawaii

Hawaii

The crowd of people which were sitting with me in the plane dissapeard until I was the last person walking along the corridors and empty dark shops. It was 4 o’clock in the morning and the Honululu Airport seemed pretty died out. Maybe I should have informed myself about busses in the night. Thinking a few thoughs about my best options I made the plan to find a nice little bench where I can relax for two or three hours until I can get a bus.
