Dear visitors In November 2023 we escaped the grey Swiss weather and revisted TwoFish Divers in Lembeh. Singapore started a direct connection to Manado with its discount airline Scoot. This allowed us a one stop flight from Zurich to Manado.

With only 7 free days we left Zurich on Friday morning and arrived back home Tuesday morning a week later. The jetlag was a huge issue in hindsight but was it worth it? Totally! During 8 diving days, we did 19 boat dives, 7 night dives and 4 solo house reef dives.

Content and highlights

During that time we found all our favorite underwater friends like Coconut, Blue Ringed, Wonder, Starry Night Octopus, many Froggies and even more Nudis.

A huge highlight was a baby bamboo shark Silke found nested in between some leafy garden field.

One of my personal core memories is not only that I was able to provide shells housing to many coconut octopus but that in Jimmy I found a diver friend to whom I passed on my real estate agentship: Since I had some shells left when we had to fly home, he kindly took them over and handed them to some homeless coconut octopus. This made me proud and happy all at once!

Difference to last time?

As per divers, during our presence there were about 12 divers splitting in 3 or 4 groups. So definitely more than on our last mid-covid trip.

TwoFish hasn't changed much. Same happy faces and professional team as last time!

On a personal note, this time, we came prepared for ear infection prevention and for underwarter/postdive headache. This helped enormously.

We found that our spotting skills initially appeared worse than during our Sabbatical but after the fourth/fifth dive we were at a high level, again. So I guess it just takes some time getting into it!

Bottom line

The second time again in the good season (October/November) reaffirmed us that we'll come back, again. Good connection, good infra, good price, good macro. What's not to love!
