Right after our plane arrived on Honolulu airport at 4 a.m. , the crowd streamed through the opened gates past me. It felt spooky since I was the last person to walk along the corridors and past the dark, empty shops. The Honululu Airport felt dead. Maybe - just maybe - I could have informed myself about night busses.
Pondering about my best options I decided to search for some bench to relax on for two or three hours until I could catch the first morning bus.
Right when I finally arranged myself comfortably on the cosy bench, I head someone approaching. Looks like another lost soul at the Honolulu Airport. And well, that is how I met Chris, another German without a clou where to stay or how to exit the airport.
Good thing that I memorized a Hostel Name beforehand: Hokondo Waikiki Beachside Hostel..
After discussing the pro and cons of waiting for a bus or taking a taxi I gave in and we drove with a taxi to our destination. The Hostel was amazing and I felt instantly welcome by a friendly and open atmosphere.
